Our members share wide-ranging interests in the history and preservation of antique radio. Through our meetings and newsletters, we discuss the collection, restoration and appreciation of vintage hardware, old wireless communications systems and archaic technologies, their obsolescence notwithstanding.

This year Canada celebrates * 100 years * of broadcasting!  On the evening of May 20 1920, Montreal station XWA broadcast the first scheduled live entertainment radio program in Canada and possibly North America. The station would continue on the air for many decades as CFCF and eventually CIQC.

OVRC executive will continue to monitor the COVID-19 issue. The April 8 meeting is CANCELLED. We have not decided how to proceed with the May 2 auction, but we will follow the recommendations of healthcare professionals. Please check this website ovrc.org for updates a few days prior to all meetings and auctions.
